George Henry Shumate, born 6 December 1830. Margaret Triplett (Kemper) (11 May 1809– ) and William Shumate (1796– ), who wed on 24 March 1829 in Fauquier County. The eleven siblings were: Kemper; William; George [BH]; Martha Letitia; John Robert; Isabella; Septimus Tristam; Pocahontas; Armistead; Frances; James.[3499] Other Family: His maternal grandparents were Martha (Fisher) and John Kemper.
